Denik and Spring April 21, 2012
Last night I went to an art show in SLC with some of my classmates. I knew some people who’s art was displayed there and it was really neat getting to experience the vibe of a real art gallery. Outside the gallery, some guys who started the company, Denik, were selling their notebooks. This company was started at Utah State and asks artists from all around the world to contribute their art work for the covers. Then they sell them for $10 each and 10% of each purchase goes to build schools in Africa. It’s pretty neat. Currently, they are trying to expand their company to be able to ship internationally. Today I spent the day at my best friend’s track meet in Logan. I was lucky enough to hog the shade of these trees in bloom.
{Annie} Portraits 2012 April 19, 2012
This is my longtime best friend, Annie. She went and joined the Army and is in the ROTC program here at USU. She loves wearing her dresses and “hot pants” whenever she doesn’t have to be in uniform. I’m so proud of her for her service and am so thankful for her friendship. She was veryyy patient with me and my wacky ideas on this shoot! She even wooed a cop that was wondering what we were doing up the canyon. ; )
{Megan} “Brunette” Portraits 2012 March 29, 2012
Here’s one of my favorite people and models ever!!! If you follow my work at all you’ve probably seen Megan at one point or another. Anyway she recently darkened her hair, so we HAD to go out for anther shoot. We found some great spots out in some farming land in the surrounding area of Logan. Let me tell you those people are nice out there! Meg got plenty of cat calls, whistles, waves and smiles. I’m so excited to have her help me shoot my first wedding next weekend! : )
{Shopping Cart} Typology February 28, 2012
For my Photography 2 class this semester, we are working on a project all semester to be turned in as the final project. We had to choose a subject of which to make a typology. A typology is a body of work, showing the “types” of an object. In my case, I chose shopping carts. I then take multiple pictures of different shopping cart in the same exact way each time. This was the first time I’ve ever used Photoshop or the digital print lab at USU. I have to say I am enjoying it! Even though the delivery men at Bed, Bath and Beyond know me as the crazy girl who takes pictures of carts every Monday and Tuesday morning!

{Lottie} Bridals 2012 February 24, 2012
Meet my good friend and first bride, Lottie! We met at Girl’s Camp just a few years ago and completely hit it off! We get along so well. I was so glad to spend a wonderful morning in Missoula, Montana with her this past weekend. Lottie’s actual dress is currently being made, so we got to go to a store and select a dress to rent and use for our shoot- not something a photographer usually gets to do! I had a blast pulling dresses- she looked great in them all. Then we went on our very successful photo shoot adventure which included discovering great spots in Missoula, asking homeless men to leave the frame, and me unfortunately locking the keys in the car. It was completely worth it! Love this girl and I wish her and her fiance the best!!

2D Design Project February 16, 2012
This is my good friend Clarissa. I took this picture of her last year… and remade the photo for this project in my 2D Design class out of cut tonal paper, layered on top of each other to make it look 3D. Let me know what you think!
